Great things to do in Mississippi
A true Southern delight, Mississippi offers plantation homes, moss draped tree lined streets and civil war history. You'll find museums, art galleries, fine shopping and restaurants, gambling, and casinos with stage shows to keep you entertained.
The beaches are sunny and warm. Swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, boating and fishing are all popular. The seafood and restaurants along the coast are excellent.
The state is full of outdoor activities with the Mississippi River and numerous state parks and forests. You can hike, fish, boat or just enjoy a picnic.
The town of Ocean Springs is located about 2 miles east of Biloxi. It has become a haven for artists and craftspeople, with numerous art shops and studios. The town also maintains a number of historic churches from the late 1800s.
